ANTI-FRAUD PROCEDURES • ANTI-FRAUD POLICIES • FRAUD CONSEQUENCES

By far, the majority of Internet Marketplace sellers and buyers are honest, ethical, and try hard to create a great buying experience. We would like to offer our sincere thanks to all of you, and encourage you to keep up the good work!

Unfortunately, eBay is looked at, by some, as a marketplace to commit fraud and scams. To those, we say nothing good will ever come to your life by harming others (scroll down to see what we mean). In our case, you would not only be harming our business but the Veterans that we support.

We encourage you to STOP doing anything that is dishonest, fraudulent, or even just unethical. And, we discourage you from doing so with our Anti-Fraud Procedures and Policies and our Fraud Consequences.

It all starts with the inspection.

magnifying_glass.jpg

Prior to listing, all pre-owned and open-box merchandise is carefully inspected using a magnifying class under full spectrum lighting conditions. If necessary, they are restored to like-new condition, which includes cleaning and repairs. They are also tested for proper functioning and operation.

If there are any cosmetic defects (scratches, dings, dents, etc.) we either don’t list it, or we take high resolution photos of the defect(s) and post them to our listing. If an item has zero cosmetic defects, we list it as such using keywords such as, “zero defects”, “mint condition”, or “indistinguishable from new”.

We do this in order to ensure accurate product descriptions, making it difficult for a dishonest buyer to win a “not as described” case.

Our legal paper, photo, and video trail.

We take high quality photos and/or videos of all merchandise during the packaging procedure.

This is done to prevent dishonest buyers from claiming that there are “parts missing”.

We also take photos during our inspection, testing and repair procedures in order to document the condition and proper functioning of each item we sell.

This is done to prevent dishonest buyers from claiming that an item “doesn’t work”.

We also record identification numbers, (including serial numbers, MSID, MSIN, MIN, and IMSI) of all items that have an identification numbers.

This is done to prevent dishonest buyers from returning a different item than was shipped to them.

All returns are weighed at the desk of the carrier. The opening is recorded in HD video, with the postal clerk as a witness. The clerk then enters their name into our Return Inspection Report, and signs it.

This is done to document what is actually returned, and as a deterrent to dishonest buyers returning empty boxes, or items different than what was shipped to them.

We use an anti-fraud checklist.

Every order, fulfilled by us, includes a shipping label, a packing slip, a thank you card, a gift, and our Anti-Fraud Checklist. This checklist is a legal document and is used to verify that the procedures outlined above have been followed. It is date-stamped, and signed.
